Rosemary A Cameron

Scottish Landscape Artist
My name is Rosemary Anne Cameron. I was born in Scotland and currently live in Dunfermline. My aim as an artist is to reflect the beauty of God's creation in my paintings. I paint in oils, which allows me to blend colours on the canvas to achieve the effects I want, and I paint on canvas, canvas board or hardboard, depending on the subject matter of the painting.

I grew up in Oban on the west coast of Scotland and frequently visit the west coast near Fort William, where some of my current paintings are inspired. I also have connections with John O' Groats and Tiree, both of which have similar, more agricultural, landscapes - a contrast to the wilder, less cultivated west coast. I am interested in the patterns and contrasts of colour created by agriculture on the landscape and those occuring naturally, as in sunsets. (See Current Work for examples.)
